Eid previously served as head of Hamas’ drone unit in the same area. In his latest role, he was responsible for producing UAVs intended for attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops.
According to the information released, Eid had recently been working to restore and strengthen Hamas’ aerial capabilities.
Those activities were carried out in violation of the ceasefire agreement and represented another effort by Hamas to rebuild its ability to threaten Israel.
His elimination removes a senior figure involved in Hamas’ drone program and disrupts the terror group’s attempts to reestablish its aerial attack capabilities.
