Hezbollah Chief Threatens Israel, Claims Terror Group Will Force IDF Out of Lebanon
Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem used a televised address to escalate threats against Israel, claiming the Iran-backed terror group will continue its campaign until Israeli forces are removed from Lebanese territory.
Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem delivered a hostile televised speech Friday, vowing that the Iran-backed terror group will force Israeli forces out of Lebanon.
Qassem claimed Hezbollah is facing what he called a major American, Israeli, and international effort to dismantle the terror organization and weaken its support base inside Lebanon.
“The project to destroy Hezbollah has failed,” Qassem claimed, adding that Israel would be expelled from “every last inch” of Lebanese territory.
The Hezbollah leader accused Israel and its allies of using military pressure after failing to defeat the group directly. He also claimed Hezbollah would not surrender or scale back its position.
Trump Calls For Full Ceasefire
Qassem’s remarks came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump said he expects a complete ceasefire on all fronts, including between Hezbollah and Israel.
Trump wrote on Truth Social that the United States is committed to peace and expects all sides in the region to maintain their commitments as negotiations move forward.
The reported memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States refers to the immediate and permanent end of fighting, including in Lebanon, while also referencing Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Despite diplomatic efforts, Hezbollah’s latest threats show the terror group is still trying to frame itself as a military power against Israel while continuing to serve Iran’s regional agenda.
