Huckabee Proposes Deporting Hamas and Hezbollah Terrorists to Iran

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee suggested that every Hamas and Hezbollah terrorist be deported to Iran, arguing that removing Tehran's terror proxies would help bring peace to Israel and Lebanon. His remarks came as Iran accused Israel of violating the ceasefire in southern Lebanon and threatened a military response.

Huckabee's Proposal

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee proposed an unusual solution to the ongoing conflict with Iran-backed terror groups, suggesting that all members of Hamas and Hezbollah be deported to Iran.

Writing on X, Huckabee argued that Iran continues to support both organizations while demanding that Israel stop defending its northern border against Hezbollah attacks. He also noted that any lasting peace in Gaza depends on Hamas laying down its weapons.

Iran Escalates Its Rhetoric

Huckabee's comments came as Iran increased its threats against Israel, accusing the Jewish state of repeatedly violating the ceasefire in southern Lebanon.

According to a statement issued by Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, Israeli forces allegedly violated the ceasefire dozens of times following the U.S. announcement of an end to the war. The claims have not been independently verified.

The Iranian military also warned that if Israel continues its operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, it should expect what it described as a "harsh response" from Iran's armed forces.

Regional Context

Hezbollah and Hamas are both heavily backed, armed, and financed by Iran and are designated as terrorist organizations by the United States and several other countries. Israel has repeatedly stated that it will continue taking action to prevent Iran-backed terror groups from threatening Israeli communities and military forces.
