IDF Eliminates Hamas Nukhba Terrorist During Strike on Terror Infrastructure in Northern Gaza
The IDF confirmed that Israeli forces eliminated a Hamas Nukhba terrorist and struck additional terrorists who were attempting to restore underground terror infrastructure in northern Gaza. The military said the operation was carried out with precautions to reduce civilian harm while forces continue operating under the ceasefire framework.
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed on Monday that an airstrike carried out on Saturday targeted five Hamas terrorists attempting to restore underground terrorist infrastructure in the northern Gaza Strip, west of the Yellow Line.
According to the IDF, the operation eliminated Hudhayfah Hussein Abdullah al-Hawajri, a member of Hamas' elite Nukhba force assigned to the East Jabalia Battalion. Additional terrorists involved in the activity were also struck.
Targeting Hamas Terror Infrastructure
The military said the terrorists were working to rebuild underground infrastructure used by Hamas for terrorist operations. The strike was part of ongoing efforts to prevent the terror group from restoring its operational capabilities in northern Gaza.
Measures to Reduce Civilian Harm
The IDF stated that multiple precautions were taken before the strike to minimize the risk to civilians, including the use of precision-guided munitions and continuous aerial surveillance.
"Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance," the IDF said.
Operations Continue
The IDF added that troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue operating against any immediate security threats posed by Hamas terrorists.
