Israeli troops uncovered rifles, explosives, anti-tank missiles, mortar shells and other weapons in the Majdal Zoun area, while also dismantling structures used by Hezbollah.
Israeli troops uncovered a large Hezbollah weapons cache hidden inside civilian infrastructure in the Majdal Zoun area of southern Lebanon.
The weapons included Kalashnikov rifles, magazines, ammunition, grenades, explosives, explosive devices, anti-tank missiles and mortar shells.
Hezbollah Infrastructure Dismantled
Israeli forces also dismantled structures that had been used by Hezbollah terrorists.
The discovery is further evidence of Hezbollah’s practice of embedding weapons and military infrastructure in civilian areas, putting local residents at risk while building its Iran-backed terror network near Israel’s northern border.
Israel cannot allow Hezbollah to use southern Lebanon as a base for attacks. Its weapons, terror infrastructure and operational positions must be removed.
