IDF names fallen reservist Barak Kalfon; three other soldiers wounded in same incident
The IDF cleared for publication the name of Command Sergeant Major (Res.) Barak Kalfon, 48, of Adi, who succumbed to wounds sustained during combat in southern Lebanon. The military said that in the same incident on Friday, two soldiers were moderately wounded and another was lightly injured.
The IDF on Saturday cleared for publication the name of Command Sergeant Major (Res.) Barak Kalfon, 48, from Adi, a combat soldier in the 7056th Infantry Battalion of the 226th Brigade, who succumbed to wounds sustained during fighting in southern Lebanon.
According to the military, Kalfon was wounded in combat on Friday and later died of his injuries.
Three additional soldiers wounded
The IDF said that in the same incident in which Kalfon fell, two other soldiers were moderately wounded and an additional soldier was lightly wounded.
All three were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families were notified.
