Iran-Linked Newspaper Publishes AI Image Targeting Trump and Netanyahu With Crosshairs
A newspaper owned by Tehran's municipal authorities published an infographic identifying 13 foreign leaders as targets for "revenge" following Iran's recent conflict. The image depicts several officials in prison uniforms, while U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are shown with gun crosshairs on their foreheads, accompanied by the message, "Revenge is inevitable."
According to reports, the Tehran municipality-owned newspaper Hamshahri published an infographic on July 11 naming 13 political and military leaders whom Iran allegedly considers responsible for the recent war or for supporting Israel and the United States during the conflict.
The graphic appeared shortly after reports that Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, pledged revenge for those killed during the war. The infographic includes the Persian-language slogan, "Revenge is inevitable."
Trump and Netanyahu Featured With Crosshairs
The image portrays all 13 individuals wearing orange prison uniforms. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are depicted with rifle crosshairs placed over their foreheads, a presentation widely viewed as a direct threat.
The list also includes U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, U.S. Central Command Commander Gen. Brad Cooper, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Escalating Rhetoric
The publication is likely to heighten concerns over Iranian threats against Western and Israeli leaders as tensions remain high following the recent conflict. The image has drawn attention because of its explicit targeting of senior elected officials and military leaders.
