Iran Threatens Wider Middle East War Ahead of Netanyahu’s July 27 U.S. Visit

Iran’s military warned on July 26 that the conflict in the Middle East could spread even further if the United States continues military operations against Iran.

According to AFP, Iranian military spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said on state television that renewed U.S. cooperation with Israel, especially through airstrikes, would cause the war to expand geographically.

“If the United States once again aligns itself with Israel and continues the war, especially through airstrikes, the conflict will expand geographically,” Akraminia said.

Iran Threatens U.S. Forces Across the Region

Akraminia claimed that the conflict has already reached the Bab el-Mandeb Strait near the Red Sea, citing recent military clashes involving the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist organization in Yemen.

He also threatened that Iran’s operational reach now covers an area stretching from U.S. military bases in Jordan to countries along the Persian Gulf.

The spokesman described the current regional situation as difficult and unstable for Washington and claimed that the United States is searching for a new strategy. He added that Iran is preparing for all likely scenarios.

Warning Comes Before Netanyahu-Trump Meeting

The warning was issued ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s scheduled July 27 visit to the United States. Netanyahu is expected to meet President Donald Trump on July 28.

According to the report, Netanyahu and Trump have met six times since Trump returned to office and have maintained close coordination on regional security and the Iranian threat.

The latest Iranian warning highlights the regime’s continued use of military threats and Iran-backed terrorist proxies to pressure Israel and the United States. Israel has made clear that it will continue defending itself against Iran’s nuclear program, regional aggression, and terror network.
