IRGC Expands Attacks on U.S. Bases Across the Middle East as Regional Tensions Escalate

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) continued missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. military facilities across Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan, as fighting between the United States and Iran intensifies. Several countries activated air defenses while infrastructure damage and conflicting casualty claims emerged.

The conflict between the United States and Iran continued to escalate as Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched another wave of missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. military facilities across the region.

Attacks Reach Multiple Countries

According to international reports, Kuwait confirmed that Iranian strikes sparked fires at several power generation plants and desalination facilities. Authorities said the fires were extinguished and damage assessments are underway. The country's critical infrastructure has reportedly been affected during four consecutive days of attacks linked to Iranian strikes on nearby U.S. military installations.

Bahrain Activates Air Defenses

Bahrain issued an air raid warning after detecting incoming Iranian threats and activated its air defense systems. Bahraini officials stated that several incoming projectiles were intercepted but did not release details regarding the number of interceptions or possible damage.

The IRGC claimed responsibility for targeting U.S. military facilities in Bahrain and also alleged attacks against Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. Independent confirmation of the AWS claim has not been reported.

Jordan Intercepts Iranian Missiles and Drones

The Jordanian military announced it intercepted five Iranian drones and three missiles during two separate attack waves. Officials said there were no casualties or property damage inside Jordan.

However, the IRGC claimed its strikes on U.S. military facilities near the Rukban area in eastern Jordan caused multiple casualties. Those claims have not been independently verified.

Conflict Continues Despite Earlier Diplomatic Efforts

The renewed attacks come despite a previous memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran that sought to establish a regional ceasefire and reopen maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz while follow-up negotiations were scheduled.

According to reports, tensions escalated after Iran continued asserting control over shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz and attacked vessels that did not comply with its procedures. The United States responded with a sustained air campaign against Iranian targets, while the IRGC has continued retaliatory attacks against U.S. military positions across the region.
