Israel’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday congratulated U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee on marking one year as the American envoy to Israel, calling his tenure a period of strong support and closer coordination between the two allies.

In a public message, the ministry said Huckabee had helped strengthen the “special bond” between Israel and the United States and credited his leadership and commitment to the alliance during a year shaped by major regional upheaval.

Official congratulations

The Foreign Ministry said Huckabee had done an “outstanding job” over the past year and thanked him for what it described as steadfast partnership with Israel.

“His leadership, friendship, and commitment to our alliance have helped make both our countries stronger and safer,” the ministry said.

Huckabee reflects on a turbulent year

Huckabee responded by describing the past 12 months as unusually intense, pointing to a series of major developments that unfolded during his first year in office.

“Hard to believe it’s been a year! What a year! 5 wars, hostage release, peace agreements and never a dull moment!” Huckabee wrote.

The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem also marked the occasion, posting its own congratulations to the ambassador and calling it “one year strong at the helm.”

Alliance in focus

The public exchange underscored the close political and diplomatic coordination between Jerusalem and Washington at a time of ongoing security challenges and broader regional realignment. The messages did not announce any new policy steps, but highlighted the importance both sides place on the U.S.-Israel partnership.
