Israel’s 11-Year-Old “Spokeskid” Takes the Fight Against Antisemitism Worldwide

Eleven-year-old Israeli advocate Ben Carasso has turned personal tragedy into a worldwide campaign against antisemitism and anti-Israel misinformation.

Known online as the “Spokeskid of Israel,” Carasso began speaking publicly after the October 7 Hamas massacre, when the father of a close friend disappeared following the terrorist attack at the Supernova music festival.

Carasso initially posted videos and joined pro-Israel advocacy tours in the hope of helping secure the missing father’s release. Months later, Israeli authorities confirmed that he had been murdered.

“I was at his funeral, and I saw my friend. I asked myself, ‘How can you support someone who has just learned that his father was murdered by terrorists?’ That was the moment I understood how important my mission was.”

Fighting the Online War Against Israel

Carasso said his advocacy first centered on the hostages, but he quickly recognized that Israel was also facing a major battle over public opinion.

Hamas terrorists documented and distributed footage of their own atrocities, yet anti-Israel narratives began spreading almost immediately. Carasso noted that hostility toward Israel was already visible on October 8, before Israeli forces entered Gaza.

“Fake news spread, and we didn’t fight it enough,” he said.

He believes social media is now one of the most important fronts in Israel’s struggle against terrorism and antisemitism.

His main target is not committed anti-Israel activists, but the large number of people who remain undecided or poorly informed.

“The biggest group is the neutral people. They don’t know what’s happening. Our fight is for them.”

Why Children Must Speak Out

Carasso, who began speaking publicly at age eight, rejects criticism that he is too young to take part in Israel’s public diplomacy efforts.

He argues that children can describe the fear, grief and uncertainty caused by terrorism in ways adults cannot fully express.

“Every child has a unique voice,” he said.

Carasso has also confronted hostile activists directly, including during a debate with a pro-Palestinian woman decades older than him. He said such encounters often reveal how anti-Israel arguments rely on false quotations, emotional intimidation and claims unsupported by facts.

Jewish Children Facing Antisemitism Abroad

Carasso’s advocacy tours have taken him to the United States, Europe and Australia, where he has met Jewish families dealing with rising antisemitism.

He said Jewish children have described harassment and hostility even in neighborhoods with large Jewish populations. Those conversations have strengthened his determination to continue defending Israel and challenging lies about the Jewish state.

Carasso’s message is simple: Israel cannot abandon the information battlefield. The truth about Hamas terrorism, the hostages and the October 7 massacre must be presented clearly to audiences around the world.

At only 11 years old, the “Spokeskid of Israel” is showing that defending the truth does not depend on age. It depends on courage, facts and the willingness to speak.
