Iran's leadership may be facing another major crisis.
Iranian opposition outlet IranWire reports that Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is in critical condition, citing two sources said to be close to President Masoud Pezeshkian's administration. The report claims rumors of his possible imminent death are spreading among senior regime officials.
Khamenei has not appeared in public since taking power in March following the death of his father, Ali Khamenei, and has issued only written statements. His absence, including from his father's funeral, has fueled growing questions about his health.
