Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey Condemn Israeli Strikes on Hamas as Ceasefire Talks Continue

Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey released a joint declaration accusing Israel of jeopardizing the current Gaza ceasefire through ongoing military operations targeting Hamas terrorists.

The three mediating nations alleged that recent Israeli strikes, including operations near medical facilities, violated international law and threatened efforts to advance the next phase of the ceasefire agreement. They also called on the international community to pressure Israel to fulfill its obligations while supporting the continuation of President Donald Trump's peace initiative.

Board of Peace Clarifies Ceasefire Conditions

The diplomatic criticism followed high-level discussions involving Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli officials, and the Board of Peace.

Following the meeting, the Board of Peace reaffirmed that the central objective remains the complete dismantling of Hamas' military infrastructure and the transition to civilian governance in Gaza. The board stressed that this process would unfold in stages but made clear that Hamas must first surrender all weapons, including light arms, heavy weapons, and tunnel networks.

"The goal is clear and is not in question: the complete decommissioning of weapons in the Strip and the transition away from rule by the gun to civilian governance."

The board also rejected reports suggesting an immediate Israeli military withdrawal, stating that the IDF will leave positions beyond the Yellow Line only after Hamas fully completes the agreed disarmament process.

International Oversight Planned

Officials said the demilitarization process will be monitored by an International Stabilization Force together with the Implementation Verification Committee, which includes representatives from the United States and the Board of Peace.

IDF Continues Counterterrorism Operations

As diplomatic negotiations continue, the IDF has maintained operations against Hamas terrorists in Gaza. Israeli forces have recently eliminated several senior Hamas operatives identified as participants in the October 7, 2023 terrorist attack and the kidnapping of Israeli hostages.

Israeli officials maintain that these operations are consistent with the broader effort to eliminate Hamas' military capabilities and ensure long-term security.

Trump Backs Hamas Disarmament Plan

President Donald Trump expressed confidence that Israel supports the ongoing initiative to fully disarm Hamas and other Gaza-based terror organizations.

"Israel is very happy about it. Israel helped us, and they've been very good," Trump said, adding that although the process is complex, achieving Hamas' disarmament would represent a major breakthrough.

Negotiations over Gaza's future continue alongside Israeli military operations aimed at dismantling Hamas' remaining terrorist infrastructure and preventing the group from rebuilding its military capabilities.
