Sirens warning of a hostile aircraft infiltration sounded in communities across northern Israel on Monday morning after a suspected Hezbollah drone was launched from Lebanon, as the IDF continued operations against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

The military said contact was lost with the aerial target after the alerts were activated around 7:40 a.m. in the Western Galilee. No injuries were reported.

According to the IDF, rocket sirens in Arab al-Aramshe were triggered by concern over falling interception debris during attempts to bring down the drone. Additional sirens sounded minutes later were later determined to be false alarms.

Drone alerts in the north

The morning incident began with sirens in Arab al-Aramshe, followed by hostile aircraft infiltration alerts in northern communities.

The IDF later said the suspicious aerial target had been launched from Lebanon toward Israeli territory. The military said it ultimately lost contact with the drone, indicating it likely crashed.

No casualties were reported in the incident.

IDF says Hezbollah launched explosive drone at troops

In a separate incident on Sunday, Hezbollah terrorists launched an explosive-laden drone toward IDF troops operating south of the Forward Defense Line in southern Lebanon, the military said.

The drone was intercepted shortly afterward, according to the IDF.

The military said the attack was part of continued Hezbollah activity targeting Israeli forces operating in the area.

The IDF said that on Sunday, troops identified three terrorists who approached the area where Israeli soldiers were operating south of the Forward Defense Line, posing what the military described as an imminent threat.

Following the identification, the Israeli Air Force struck and killed the three terrorists to remove the threat, the military said.

In addition, several Hezbollah military structures were struck, including what the IDF identified as the headquarters of Hezbollah’s Bint Jbeil sector and other buildings used by the terror group.

The military said secondary explosions were observed after the strikes, indicating that weapons had been stored inside the structures.

Weapons cache found in children’s room

Separately, the IDF said troops operating in the Aadshit al-Qusayr area located a Hezbollah weapons storage facility inside a children’s room.

According to the military, the cache included explosives, Kalashnikov rifles, grenades, RPGs, machine guns, munitions and other combat equipment.

The IDF accused Hezbollah of cynically exploiting Lebanon’s civilian population in order to carry out attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers.

More than 50 terror sites dismantled

The military said that in recent days, troops operating south of the Forward Defense Line have dismantled more than 50 terror infrastructure sites.

Among them was an underground compound that the IDF said had been used by Hezbollah to attack Israeli troops and the State of Israel.

The IDF said it will continue operating against threats directed at Israeli civilians and soldiers in accordance with directives from the political echelon.
