IDF Seals Massive Hamas Terror Tunnel Used to Hold Lt. Hadar Goldin
Israel has sealed one of Hamas' most significant underground terror sites. The more than 16-kilometer tunnel where Lt. Hadar Goldin was held has now been permanently sealed with over 30,000 cubic meters of concrete. The underground complex reportedly included around 80 living quarters and served as a major Hamas command-and-control center. The tunnel was located near the Philadelphi Corridor and ran beneath a residential neighborhood, mosques, kindergartens, clinics, a school, and a UNRWA clinic—another example of Hamas embedding its terrorist infrastructure beneath civilian areas. Destroying Hamas' underground network remains essential to Israel's security and to preventing terrorists from using civilians as human shields.
