During his ongoing visit to the Middle East, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Adm. Brad Cooper met with senior civilian and military leaders in both Lebanon and Israel.
In Lebanon, Cooper and his delegation held talks with President Joseph Aoun and Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Gen. Rodolphe Haykal. The discussions focused on implementing the framework agreement signed in Washington, D.C., on Friday, which officials described as an important step toward strengthening regional cooperation.
Visit to U.S. Forces in Israel
While in Israel, Cooper visited deployed American troops and recognized several service members for their outstanding contributions to the mission.
According to CENTCOM, more than 50,000 U.S. service members are currently operating throughout the Middle East, maintaining a high level of readiness and supporting regional stability alongside U.S. allies and partners.
Regional Security Remains a Priority
The visit highlights continued U.S. engagement with key partners in the region as Washington works closely with Israel and other allies to address evolving security challenges and reinforce military cooperation.
