IDF Warns Hamas Is Rebuilding: Recruiting Youths, Producing Rockets, and Preparing for Another War

An internal Israel Defense Forces presentation, revealed Tuesday by Channel 13 News, indicates that Hamas is actively rebuilding its military infrastructure and preparing for a future confrontation with Israel.

Recruitment and Military Training

According to the report, Hamas has intensified recruitment efforts across the Gaza Strip, focusing on young men between the ages of 18 and 22. At the same time, the terror group is expanding training programs for its elite Nukhba terrorist units, which played a central role in the October 7 massacre.

Rocket Production and Smuggling

The presentation reportedly states that Hamas is manufacturing hundreds of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and rockets every month while working to restore military capabilities damaged during the war. Israeli officials also assess that the organization is increasing smuggling operations into Gaza, including drone components and other military equipment.

Preparing for Future Fighting

The report says Hamas has begun distributing operational plans in anticipation of a possible renewal of hostilities. Israeli military officials believe the terrorist organization is systematically rebuilding its operational capabilities despite ongoing IDF operations.

IDF Maintaining Security Buffer

Israeli forces continue operating along the Gaza security buffer, commonly known as the "Yellow Line," to keep terrorist threats away from Israeli border communities and prevent Hamas from reestablishing military positions near the frontier.

According to the Channel 13 report, no recent high-level political-security discussions have focused on launching a broader campaign in Gaza. The report also states that the United States has conveyed to Israel that, at this stage, there is no international support for another large-scale military operation in the Strip.
