Iran ignored an opportunity to honor the ceasefire and instead launched another attack on international shipping.

In response, U.S. forces carried out additional precision strikes against Iranian military targets, including surveillance infrastructure, communications systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and mine-laying capabilities used to threaten commercial vessels.

The Strait of Hormuz remains open to international shipping, and CENTCOM says U.S. forces remain vigilant, ready, and fully capable of responding to any further Iranian aggression.
