Stephen Miller Warns Democratic Party Has Been Overtaken by the Radical Left After Primary Victories
White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller warned that the Democratic Party has fundamentally changed, arguing that progressive and democratic socialist candidates are increasingly taking control through primary elections. Speaking on Fox News' "Hannity," Miller said the party no longer resembles previous generations of Democrats and issued a stark warning about what he believes is at stake for America's security, borders, and traditional values.
Miller Says Today's Democratic Party Is Unrecognizable
White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller argued Tuesday that the Democratic Party has undergone a fundamental transformation as progressive candidates continue winning primary elections across the country.
"A vote for any Democrat ANYWHERE, for ANY office, is empowering a party that wants to strip this country to the BONE, to take away our security, our defense, our way of life!"
"Just tonight, I saw a Democrat member of Congress online defending the Antifa terrorists in Texas who were just jailed for shooting an ICE officer!"
"Democrats you grew up with, the Democrats that your mom and dad grew up with, the Democrats that your grandma and grandpa grew up with do not exist anymore at all, not at any level of government!"
During an appearance on Fox News' Hannity, Miller pointed to the results of New York's Democratic primaries, where candidates backed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani—including Darializa Avila Chevalier, Claire Valdez, Brad Lander, and other progressive figures—secured victories.
Progressive Candidates Gain Momentum Nationwide
Miller argued that the movement extends far beyond New York. In Maine, progressive candidate Graham Platner won his Democratic primary and is set to challenge Republican Sen. Susan Collins in November.
Elsewhere, Democratic socialist Nithya Raman will challenge incumbent Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, while Texas Democrat James Talarico is preparing for a U.S. Senate race against Republican Ken Paxton. In Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed is competing in the Democratic Senate primary, with the eventual nominee expected to face Republican Mike Rogers in the general election.
Miller Warns of a National Shift
Miller described the election results as evidence that the Democratic Party's base is increasingly embracing far-left ideology.
"Tonight brings really terrifying evidence of just… how far this cancer has spread and is spreading across and throughout the Democrat Party."
"We've seen in every single race where there is an open Democrat primary, the radical left base of the Democrat Party is electing the most socialist, the most communist, the most lunatic candidates, the more fringe candidates that possibly exist. Every one of them against cops, against ICE, against Border Patrol, against borders, against jails, for every crazy trans idea, against every single tenet of traditional American values, principles, religion, God, all of it."
Miller argued that these developments represent a broader ideological shift within the Democratic Party and urged voters to recognize what he described as the party's transformation ahead of future elections.
